I'm just pointing this out as many projects seem to post their 1.3.2 Beta 1 blog posts and that seems to be ok -- or at least I see them pretty often.
I find it fresh and positive that Tauri developers take security very seriously. Before this 1.0 release they ordered a full security audit for the codebase and published the report ( https://github.com/tauri-apps/tauri/blob/next/audits/Radical... ).

I've been working for the past few years to build better (and free) tools for DJs and artists. I'm interested in the mixing (pun in tended) of arts and technology, and in creating communities in healthier spaces than Facebook, for example. It would be fun to find other artists to share ideas and collaborate on projects.
In addition of the most visible project which is a streaming site for DJs called Slipmat.io, I've also built a ton of related tooling around the process of planning, preparing and hosting (live) radio shows, for example:

I have a vision of building basically the GitLab for artists: a comprehensive tool stack for collaborative planning and playing live shows, marketing, and connecting with listeners, all in one easy to use place.
The current stack of all my projects is Python (Django, Starlette/FastAPI) and TypeScript (Vue). I've recently started to re-write the older stuff and in the process open source the parts. All the recent projects are now on GitHub: https://github.com/slipmatio

I've been a 1Password customer for over a decade. I've also brought them lots of consumer and business customers as I've taught people and companies I deal with to use password managers, and I thought 1Password hit the sweet spot of good usability and security.
But I cancelled my account a couple of weeks ago. Their product has been worsening over time, and the last adventure of aligning themselves with the (wrong kind of) crypto bros was the final straw for me.
I'm not really familiar with Bitwarden but it is open source and I managed to import all my data in one go from 1Password so I'm testing that for now. IT feels good to support open source at least.

I'm baffled that despite years of asking, Mozilla doesn't have voluntary subscription option for the FireFox browser. I'm not interested in paying for VPN or any other related product but I definitely would be interested in directly supporting FireFox browser development. As a Web developer, paying for my tools is not an issue for me, conversely, I'd be happy to do it.
Unrelated but I wonder how far is the next major Raspberry Pi version. It's been over 2 years since the last version.

Vite 2.0 (a build tool like Webpack or Rollup, and powered by Esbuild) was just released earlier today. It's seriously awesome.
I first learned of Esbuild early 2020 when I complained on Twitter that JS build tools are awfully slow [1]. Most my (mainly Vue) projects use Webpack and starting the dev server takes typically anywhere between 5-50 seconds.
With Vite, cold devserver start in a mid-sized project on my 2015 MBP is ~2-5 seconds, but vast majority of the starts happen almost instantly as the deps are cached. Hot module reloading and most changes is also very fast and feel instantaneous (where in Webpack projects they would take anywhere between 1-20 seconds). This has HUGE affect in developing experience as you can just keep writing and almost never need to wait for any changes. (The one exception being TailWind/PostCSS builds that take few seconds every time the config or main import changes.)
I absolutely love Esbuild and Vite. Been using them daily for few months now, and I'm currently in the process of converting all my old vue-cli based projects to Vite using a project template I made that has TypeScript, Tailwind, and e2e tests w/ GitLab and GitHub CI configured [2]. If you work with React or Vue and Webpack and haven't yet tested out Vite or any of the other Esbuild based build tools, definitely do check them out!

Excited to see plenty of WebRTC talks in there. 2020 was a huge boost for WebRTC but I think 2021 will be the year for lots of innovation around it now that the tooling has started to mature and the browser vendors are actively on it.
Interestingly the source is pure JavaScript and not TypeScript.
The tooling support that TS enables would be a huge thing for (the users of) a project like this.
Are there any examples of minimal human-friendly Terms Of Service texts that one could use or adopt to their own projects?
I tried the iOS client yesterday but could not log in (to a well-known third-party server) and the app just did not work at all. The error stayed on the login screen no matter what I tried, and it did not offer any debug info or help, and I just couldn't get past it.
I've been developing software for 20 years so I know something about buggy software and different stages of completeness so I usually give open source projects more slack but after 30 minutes I just gave up and uninstalled the app.
I really hope these kind of projects get more funding and wind behind them to get a bit more mature so there would be serious alternatives for the likes of Whatsapp.
A bit off-topic but I've been wondering how well self driving technologies will work in Nordic countries where the roads look pretty different in summer and in winter. At least for me, the one of the biggest interest for Tesla comes from its (current but especially future) self driving capabilities.
I've been working on a live streaming site for DJs and artists ( https://slipmat.io ) for past 4 years and the project is now in a state where it should probably be incorporated to get it to next level.
The current site is a state of the art basic streaming platform with a ton of bespoke functionality for artists, and I have lots of potential ideas for building new features for more higher end segment willing to pay for them (like gig booking and more interactive virtual shows).
This project is a very much an open source mindset and during last few months we’ve started to publish our first open source packages. My hope would be to be able to make everything sustainable as an open source project by the community for the community.
I’m looking for someone who could help me either build this forward or help with business side of things and raising money for building the business itself. I’m capable of handling the technical side of things but to get to next level we would need more both deep backend and frontend knowledge. I’m located in Finland, but everything in this project is set up to be remote first and location or timezones should not be a big problem.
