Completely agreed - salary information is must-have nowadays. Because "beer Fridays" or "relax rooms" don't pay the mortgage.
That's why we created a job board with mandatory salary ranges (provided directly by the companies), you can find it below in the thread.
The AirCover policy looks like a game changer that elevates Airbnb basically to hotel-like level of service.
Just wondering if they won't default to "we will just refund you" in case the host cancels (1st scenario)
In that situation, if I get the info 1 day before arrival and just a refund, then I am screwed anyway since the prices on the market will be sky high.
Also, we recently launched with our partners: https://devjob.ro in Romania and https://devitjobs.nl in Netherlands.
Thanks!
Feature requests are always welcome, BTW.
Do you have a working prototype or not yet?

Thanks!
Your site also works very well, particularly the very simple but slick design!
They would have an ideal work-life balance IF they enabled full remote work.
Their hybrid you-have-to-come-to-the-office approach basically means that you still need to live in an area near to the office, which basically means no real benefits from remote setting.
On our (shameless plug) job boards, we structured the sites around countries and you also have mandatory salary brackets (provided by the companies)
We also require them to provide full tech stacks, benefits and info how mature they are in Software Engineering (what kind of tests they write, what methodologies they use, etc.)
Feel free to take a look:

- US: https://devitjobs.us
- Switzerland: https://swissdevjobs.ch

We also submitted our platform (https://devitjobs.uk) recently (didn't gain much spotlight on HN, though) https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30877735
The approach is similar to the Joel-Test where we ask companies a set of questions to evaluate their development maturity & craftsmanship:
- how they write tests
- do they use static analysis & CI/CD
- if they have dedicated testers, etc.
(Co-Founder & CTO here) We started the platform in 2019 and grew to over 90'000 unique monthly visitors so far.
Each company is vetted before posting jobs, and we disqualify companies which:
- don't want to publish salary data
- don't describe their tech stack & development maturity
This means that we say "No" to many companies, but enables a more transparent job search experience for the candidates.
If you have any suggestions regarding the UX/UI - you are more than welcome to mention them :)
The platform is split into countries:
- UK https://devitjobs.uk
- US https://devitjobs.us
- Netherlands: https://devitjobs.nl
- Switzerland: https://swissdevjobs.ch
- Germany: https://germantechjobs.de
- Romania: https://devjob.ro

Which job boards with salary ranges do you use?
It is available in the advanced filters. The reason it is not in the main filters: there are too few jobs with Clojure.
We have a different approach: we require each company to publish salary brackets - which was not the case for StackOverflow - it was voluntary there.
Thanks for the feedback, working on fixing it!
As for the first question: it depends on which country do you target, essentially on each site you can filter to find remote roles and some roles that offer Visa Sponsorship (which is important in case you would like to move to Europe)
Actually we have all the features that you mention - I posted the links to our job boards in another comment.
It's not there yet but planned to be added in the future. Convincing companies to publish real salary brackets is not an easy task and therefore we also want to balance it a bit.
