I think chainanalysis would be (and is) funded without Coinbase a thousand time over by VCs and every Government agency. This is unfortunately (or fortunately, who knows?) an inevitability. Every time I say "inevitability" and remember "That is the sound of inevitability, Mr. Anderson..." phrase. :-)

Presumably, most of the incarcerated people are there for a reason. What is collective economic damage that they caused? Is it more than $11B? What should we do instead? Pay them the minimum/reasonable wage while they are incarcerated, and then charge them a full rate for the economic and societal damage that they caused, so that they and their families would be in financial debt for the rest of their natural lives?

I sincerely hope that Coinbase will survive and thrive through the difficult times in the next several years. They made trading cryptocurrencies easy and accessible to people, which is a fantastic service. However, if you are a customer, I would highly recommend that you used Coinbase for intended purpose only: as a (pretty good) Crypto Exchange. Do not keep your crypto holdings there. Your crypto is not protected if something, anything, happens to it. Including bankruptcy. It's not a custodial service. I would not keep the USD there either. I would just go in, do the crypto buy/sell and get out.

It's not clear to me that US/Western Universities continue to be worth the money, resources and mindshare that they occupy. Should we continue to bother? Is the world turning to Asia? Are we not better off sending our kids to Singapore's Universities (the instruction is in English), for example?
I love this story. For me, it shows that software engineering can be done at any age and, most importantly, engineering passion really matters and this passion can override any constraints put on the person.

The laws of physics would dictate that this energy would come from somewhere. If enough power is generated, it will significantly alter the ocean flows dynamics. Deep ocean flow currents can very much affect the climate. Did anybody researched that this would be Ok?

In consumer market, Intel supported AVX-512 only on -X, HEDT processors. There is a rumor that either Adler Lake-X is coming out or it will be folded into Xeon -W workstation line. It will support AVX-512.

Very few businesses have the Google/Meta level of data collection. In the low-data environments, SVMs (as an example), more often than not, outperform corresponding DL models.
If I understand the gist of this article correctly, they subtly blame parents for causing these kids inconvenience/social harm, because they would not let them use the smartphones? When I read this article, one thought is going through my head: who paid for this to be written? Who benefits from this article to be published in the Washington Post?
