I appreciate that. I too hold those beliefs and they help me, but I'm not here to proselytize. I share what has helped, and if it helps somebody else that's great. We all hold beliefs of some kind, be they a differing religion or a philosophy that's helped us, and I see people share those all the time and that's all I'm doing as well. I appreciate your seeing it that way.

Lastly, you are more than the sum of your accomplishments. Your material needs are few, and your qualifications many. Get a job doing anything you can do from home, and just start grinding. Don't worry about trying to get back to where you were. Accept your new normal and work it like any other problem.

I would hope, for the author's sake, that there are similar devices that can be purchased new for professional use. Because for all the features, abilities, and advancements available on things like a smart phone, they unavoidably create a single point of failure. And then there's the refrain often heard from the Commodore 64 and 8 bit computing ilk: Newer isn't always better.
You didn't say where you are, but many cities have Deaf and Hard of Hearing advocacy groups. You should reach out to them for resources for your teammate but also for you. They'll probably bend over backwards to help!
Also, unless your teammate is actively involved in whatever actions you take, you need to make sure they want help and that they communicate to you what they want help with. The last thing they want is an overconcerned workmate who gets in their business to "help".

It's true. A stalled wing still has aerodynamic properties that can be used to keep it from falling out of the sky immediately, but in the sense of the OP's comment about a delta being stalled, my definition as used to explain the difference between the two holds up.
The article referenced also talks about control inversion, interestingly. So yes, a stalled wing can be "flown" but not in the same way that the original question was referencing.
No, that's not quite right. A stall means that the air has separated from the wing and the wing is no longer flying. The huge vortex created when a delta wing is at high AoA actually causes the air to stick to the top of the wing, and this maintains control.
I used to fly a 48" delta winged glider that had a catapult launch. The catapult would launch it at about 120mph. I could fly to about 300 feet in a nice vertical arc, but as soon as I yanked back on the elevons, the rather light plane would turn sharply and slow down significantly, due to the very effect discussed. A non delta wing would have been unable to maintain airflow over the wing because the high AoA (20-25 degrees) would have been far more than the 12-15 degrees that straight or swept wing can take.

Rarely do I wince at the mention of animal testing (which is not endorsement), but this article so thoroughly described the torture and killing of move and pigs in such a clinical fashion so as to be horrifying. All to prove a premise that is also quite horrifying in itself.
As somebody who understands radios (Amateur radio is a hobby, and I've scratch built receivers) I had to stop reading. It's a fascinating, but somewhat frustrating read. I do think the overall approach is really interesting though and aptly describes the overlap in knowledge that often happens in otherwise disparate disciplines.
