Unfortunately yes, currently. I left the sad state of native desktop apps 15 years ago, but we are now contracting for a medical app, windows of course. But, the new thing: also Linux!! armv7 firmware running the very same code as on windows.
But only temporary. All the other contracting jobs and internal projects are Linux or baremetal firmware only.
Fix the implementations.
The other theory is that they know exactly who it is, but refuse to blame them publicly for political reasons.
> "I entered Steve's office with a bit of trepidation, because I thought that Switcher was worth at least a quarter of a million dollars to Apple, but I was sure that Steve would never want to pay me that much. But I was also proud of Switcher, and was interested in seeing how Steve would react to it."

Because RTP is pure UDP and UDP is complex?? The complex parts are the service protocol RTSP and the TCP variants over HTTP, like this, which need an ack packet for every packet sent.
Just use VLC, as everybody else.
So why nobody is doing it right then, still?
Everybody is prone to Unicode confusables attacks, and almost nobody checks for invalid chars. Almost nobody can search Unicode strings, almost nobody implemented identifiable identifiers.
Submitter linked to the main page, which is known since 2010. Nothing much changed since. If he would have linked to the latest news instead, it would be 2021.
So why is now a consensual sexual affair with a subordinate "inappropriate". If the other party was married, he would have a good argument to hide it from the faculty. A rather common case on universities.
Rather the whistleblower should be punished to interfere into private affairs inappropriately. That's none of their business
Just fork it. But JDK17 support was fixed Sep 2021
True. I generate my dynamic API headers, code and test cases also automatically. In LibreDWG from some readable spec file. Because static code for 1000 of objects would be overkill. Unlike LiquidXML.
So I got really scared and deleted all my YouTube videos from the green revolution in Teheran. I reposted them there from inside contacts who had no YouTube access. But now it looks like Google is even more dangerous than the Persian secret services.
They already have it, and they call it a header file.
Better FFI's generate their definitions from such header files, called header parsers. (based on some CPP code). This problem was solved in the 80ies, but I guess forgotten by now.
That the initial C++ was a complete hogdepodge mess, accepting every stupid proposal, and only after several years with proper standardized community proposals, it became Modern C++. Still a mess but better and almost readable.
The old "flimsy arguments" for his demotion: https://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2018/12/msg00032.htm...
Wonder what the 3rd attack on his birthday was. Must have been on debian-private

Don't know what you are talking about. Real-time continuous facial recognition at the >98% level is used for about 5.000 crowds already, and they are just ramping up their infrastructures to detect 100.000 simultaneously. A football stadium. Only budgets are the problem, not tech.
Esp. with US government "services", but also Europe and Asia.
perl5 essentially ended with Larry Wall switching to perl6. Don't be fooled by yearly releases, and community bugfixes. It's stagnation and destruction, people leaving in masses. A community does only help with support, but it mostly gets worse.
Examples where a community successfully turned the ship around, are Rust, C++ and PHP. But there it were not the community, it were the companies behind driving improvements.
Not collaborator, but maintainer. In total I receive about $500 per year, with typical bounties of $3-5 per month per person.
